Introducing Ooyala Now: Robust, Real Time Video Analytics Built for Large Scale TV Programmers & Networks

Today the Ooyala Product Team is pleased to announce Ooyala Now, a major advancement in real time video analytics. Ooyala Now is the leading video analytics solution on the market, and delivers up-to-the-second audience insights to large TV publishers and providers around the world. 

These real time viewer metrics will allow broadcasters, networks, video publishers and service providers to make more informed, data-driven decisions that increase revenue from online video. 
 
Ooyala Now was built to support rich analytics on a massive scale. This new video analytics technology supports tens of millions of connected viewers at the same time. To enable these robust, real time analytics, Ooyala rebuilt its entire back-end infrastructure from the ground-up. Ooyala also leveraged in-house intellectual property and Twitter’s open source, real time analytics engine, Storm, for this release. 
 
Ooyala Now strengthens Ooyala's position as a leading big-data, analytics and revenue platform for broadcasters and service providers worldwide. Our real time metrics enable the world's top programmers and service providers to personalize the connected viewing experience on all screens.
 
The data from Ooyala Now is presented in a simple, beautiful dashboard that updates every second. Video publishers can track real time global content consumption patterns to better understand how people are watching their TV shows, movies and videos. The experience of watching data update in real time is simply addictive and will make programmers and publishers want to monitor performance constantly. 
 
We believe in the power of data. Ooyala has invested over 5 years building advanced online video analytics technologies and Big Data video solutions. Data is the center of our technology stack and helps our customers make more informed (and more profitable) decisions. Ooyala Now is currently in pre-release with a select group of Ooyala customers and will be generally available later this year.
